An 84-year-old drove his car into the display window of a shop in Klosterneuburg in the district of Tulln on Monday, injuring his 86-year-old wife, who was his passenger.

The incident occurred on Monday shortly before 10:45 a.m. in Klosterneuburg. According to police, an 84-year-old driver lost control of his car and crashed into the display window of a shop. The senior stated by his own assessment that he had not been injured.

However, the pensioner was also taken to the hospital for medical evaluation. His wife, the 86-year-old passenger, sustained injuries and was taken to the Korneuburg regional clinic. Further details on the severity of the injuries were not initially available.
