Hall in Tirol, June 30, 2026
Following the discovery of a severed pig's head placed in front of the apartment door of a Turkish family in Hall in Tirol, police have identified a 29-year-old local man as a suspect; he has confessed.
Background of the incident
In March, it became known in Hall in Tirol (district of Innsbruck-Land) that overnight a severed pig's head had been placed in front of the apartment door of a Turkish family. A note with the message "Happy Ramadan ihr Affen!" was also attached to the door. The family filed a complaint, and the police in Hall took over the investigation.
As police reported on Monday, a 29-year-old local suspect has now been identified; he has confessed. The man knew the Turkish family at least to some extent, as the investigation showed. In addition, DNA traces were available that were used for identification.
