The electric car brand Polestar, controlled by China's Geely Group, will no longer be allowed to sell any new vehicles in the United States starting with the 2027 model year, because the US Department of Commerce did not grant an exemption from the Connected Vehicle Rule.
Polestar confirmed its exit from the US market after the US government did not exempt the company from the ban on connected vehicles with ties to China.
