Police helicopter airlifts poisoned dog after snakebite from mountain region in the Salzkammergut

The 51-year-old from the district of Kirchdorf had set off alone on a tour of the Kremsmauer. During the descent via the Gradnalm, she suffered a fainting episode and a panic attack, so that she was no longer able to continue on her own.

In this case as well, the crew of the police helicopter Libelle was called in. At 2:15 p.m., the crew flew to the operation and picked up the hiker in order to have her receive medical care.

The cluster of incidents in a single day underscores the importance of rapid rescue chains in alpine areas.
