German police are searching for a suspected saboteur after improvised explosive devices were discovered on high-voltage power lines in Brandenburg, North Rhine-Westphalia and eastern Saxony.

German police are investigating a series of suspected sabotage attacks targeting high-voltage transmission infrastructure in at least three states. Authorities have recovered improvised explosive devices and homemade launching mechanisms at pylons, and are examining whether the incidents are linked, according to reporting by the Deutsche Presse-Agentur.

In Brandenburg and North Rhine-Westphalia, saboteurs deployed self-built rockets and launcher systems against power infrastructure, the agency reported. Investigators later discovered twelve explosive devices attached to high-voltage transmission towers in eastern Saxony, raising concerns about a coordinated campaign rather than isolated acts of vandalism.
