The sports car manufacturer Porsche is planning to cut up to 4,000 additional jobs on top of an already announced first package, according to a report by "Handelsblatt."
The Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer Porsche is facing another extensive round of job cuts. According to "Handelsblatt," citing company circles, up to 4,000 additional positions are to be eliminated. This would be a program on top of the first package already announced in March, which envisages the cut of more than 4,000 jobs. A Porsche spokesperson did not confirm the figures.
According to information from "Handelsblatt," up to 4,000 additional jobs are to be cut. Negotiations between management and employee representatives on a further savings package are already underway, according to the company. The entire package is to be presented by the end of July. Porsche CEO Michael Leiters had already announced in March a comprehensive further round of job cuts, in addition to a first set of measures.
