In a renewed nighttime rocket and drone attack on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, at least ten people were injured, including a child, according to authorities.
Attack in several waves
Mayor Vitali Klitschko and military governor Tymur Tkatschenko reported on the attack via the messaging service Telegram. "Der Feind habe die Stadt mit ballistischen Raketen angegriffen," their messages said. Klitschko also stated that the Russian Air Force had fired cruise missiles, drones and ballistic missiles at the Ukrainian capital. The Ukrainian Air Force spoke of six ballistic missiles, six cruise missiles and 121 drones that had been directed at Kyiv overnight.
According to preliminary figures from Tkatschenko, there was damage in a city district in the eastern part of the city. In the western part of Kyiv, a fire broke out in an office building. In addition, an uninhabited building was damaged. In several districts of the capital, fires were also reported during the attacks.
