According to a report, FIFA President Gianni Infantino flew around the Earth more than twice during the soccer World Cup.
The report, referenced by Der Spiegel and others, calculates that Infantino covered distances during the World Cup period equivalent to more than two trips around the Earth. The calculation is apparently based on flight movements connected to his official trips as FIFA President.
According to the information, the evaluated routes repeatedly run between host cities in North America. The cities mentioned include Miami and Seattle, as well as flights to Canada. The AP agency is also cited in the reporting as a source.
