Large NVIDIA customers must reportedly expect price surcharges of more than 15 percent for servers with NVIDIA AI chips from 23 August 2026, according to a Bloomberg News report.

The report attributes the expected price increases to a shortage of memory chips. These components are important for the operation and performance of modern AI servers. When they become scarcer, the costs for the affected servers rise, according to the report.

Bloomberg News also reported that contract manufacturers are said to have already informed their customers about the higher prices. NVIDIA initially declined to comment on the report. It therefore remains unclear whether and to what extent the company confirms the figures.
