Berlin, 06 July 2026
The former Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and ex-Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck (Greens) will become Senior Advisor at the Danish urban development investor Urban Partners, headquartered in Copenhagen, effective 1 August.
Responsibilities at Urban Partners
Urban Partners specializes, according to its own statements, in investments in urban development and manages assets of more than 25 billion euros. The company states it has around 36 employees in Germany, spread across locations in Frankfurt, Munich, and Berlin. Past investments include logistics properties in metropolitan regions as well as multi-family rental apartments in Berlin, Munich, and Hamburg.
In his new role, Habeck will, according to Urban Partners, primarily drive forward the company's research activities. Focal points will be urban development and the question of how private capital can support the expansion of affordable housing in rapidly growing urban regions. With Habeck's involvement, Urban Partners also aims to expand its German business.
