A 25-year-old man has been critically injured in an explosion of a robot vacuum cleaner in Perth, Australia, and is being treated at a specialist burns unit.
The device suddenly caught fire in the kitchen of his home in the suburb of Brabham at the end of last week, broadcaster Sky News Australia reported on Tuesday, citing the fire brigade and the man's family. The victim was so severely injured that he has to be treated at a specialist burns unit. The victim suffered burns to 75 percent of his body in the incident.
According to the Western Australia fire brigade, the explosion blew windows out of the house and blackened walls with fire. Four fire trucks were dispatched and brought the blaze under control. The house is currently uninhabitable.
