A Romanian fighter jet shot down an explosive-laden drone over the Black Sea on Wednesday after it approached the Neptune Deep gas field; the Romanian government holds Russia responsible for the incident.
According to Romania's Ministry of Defense, the drone was intercepted by a Romanian jet in the morning over the Black Sea as it approached the Neptune Deep gas field. The projectile exploded after being shot down, the ministry said. No one was injured.

Romania's Ministry of Defense stated that Russia bears responsibility for the drone attack. Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu spoke of a "flagrant violation of Romanian airspace" and announced that he would raise the incident at NATO.
