Cologne, 02 July 2026
The Cologne-based broadcaster RTL has announced the longest seasons of its two major entertainment shows "Let's Dance" and "Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!" for 2027, and is also planning new primetime projects for RTL and Vox, along with a historical comedy series about Goethe and Schiller.
With "Let's Dance" and the Jungle Camp, RTL aims to increase the dosage of its major entertainment shows in 2027, according to its own statements. Both formats are set to air in the longest seasons of their history. The broadcaster announced this on Thursday in Cologne.
"Let's Dance" has been part of RTL's lineup since 2006. The 20th season is scheduled to launch next year, as stated in the announcement. "Mit dem Jubiläum darf sich das Publikum auf die größte Staffel der Showgeschichte freuen – mit noch mehr Tänzen, noch mehr Emotionen und unvergesslichen TV-Momenten," the announcement stated. The format has established itself as a fixture on German Saturday-evening television over nearly two decades.
