In a large-scale drone attack from Ukraine, Russia registered more than 400 drones over the Moscow region during the night into Monday, according to its own statements; several cities south of the capital reported injuries, fires, and damage.
Nighttime attack: Hundreds of drones toward Moscow
As Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin wrote during the night on the state online platform Max, more than 400 drones had been heading toward the Moscow region since the evening. "Most" of them had been "neutralized" at a greater distance, Sobyanin wrote. The Russian Defense Ministry announced in the morning that 381 Ukrainian drones had been intercepted during the night over Russian territory and the Black Sea peninsula of Crimea. "A large portion of them were shot down well before reaching Moscow," Sobyanin had previously stated on Telegram.
