Santander exceeds analyst expectations and plans multi-billion-euro share buyback

Bank CEO Ana Botín sees Spain's largest lender on track to meet its annual targets. In the current year, Botín intends to lift the bank's profit beyond the previous year's €14.1 billion. Already in full-year 2025, Santander had reported a surplus of €14.1 billion.
