The Schwarz Group, with its retail chains Lidl and Kaufland, increased its total revenue in fiscal year 2025 by 5.8 percent to 185.6 billion euros and created 9,000 new jobs, the company announced on Thursday in Neckarsulm near Heilbronn.
In the past fiscal year, which ran from the beginning of March 2025 to the end of February 2026, group revenue grew from 175.4 to 185.6 billion euros. The group founded by Dieter Schwarz employed around 604,000 staff as of the reporting date of February 28, 2026, 9,000 more than in the previous year. Some 5,000 of the new jobs were created in Germany alone, representing an increase of 2.4 percent compared to the previous year.
