Severe Thunderstorms, Hail and Heavy Rain Threaten Hesse and Bavaria This Weekend

Bavaria's Holiday Weather Turns Stormy

In Bavaria, the first week of the Pentecost holidays will see a dramatic shift from sunny conditions to widespread storms. Friday is expected to be very sunny with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius in some areas, and southern Bavaria will remain nearly cloudless except for isolated cumulus clouds over the mountains.

Showers are expected in the Prignitz and Havelland regions on Friday evening, with thunderstorms and showers possible overnight as temperatures drop to between 13 and 17 degrees Celsius. Saturday will be changeable with isolated thunderstorms and rain possible initially, clearing by late morning, and temperatures ranging between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius.
