South Carolina Republicans will decide on Tuesday between Darline Graham and Ralph Norman in a special U.S. Senate primary runoff to fill the seat vacated by her brother, Lindsey Graham, ahead of the November general election.
The runoff, held after neither candidate cleared a majority in the initial Republican primary, will determine the GOP nominee for the special election in November. Darline Graham, a relative newcomer to statewide politics, entered the race with the backing of President Donald Trump, a longtime ally of her brother. Trump endorsed her before she had formally launched a campaign, campaigned with her in South Carolina in the days before the runoff and held a tele-rally on the eve of the vote.
