A Spanish passenger evacuated from the cruise ship *MV Hondius* at the center of a hantavirus outbreak has tested positive for the virus, Spain's health ministry announced Tuesday, bringing the total confirmed cases to 11, including three fatalities.

Outbreak Confirmed Across Multiple Cases

The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed 11 cases of hantavirus linked to the *MV Hondius*, with three passengers from the cruise having died. The latest case involves a Spanish national who was evacuated from the ship and later tested positive.

"There is currently no sign that we are seeing the start of a larger outbreak," said a WHO spokesperson. The organization is monitoring the situation but has not issued broader travel advisories.
