A planned additional test flight of the largest rocket system ever built was aborted in Starbase shortly before launch after several engines of the new Starship Version 3 had failed to ignite.

As the space company SpaceX announced, the failure of several engines triggered an automatic abort of the launch procedure. SpaceX chief Elon Musk also confirmed the incident on the online platform X, which likewise belongs to him: "Einige der Triebwerke haben nicht gezündet, was einen automatischen Abbruch des Starts ausgelöst hat", the tech billionaire wrote.
For the current attempt, the "Version 3" of the Starship was used for the first time, as the company explained. According to the company, this is a completely revised version of the giant rocket, with changes in design and performance, among other things.
