Positive Stock Development in Protected Areas

The Senckenberg Nature Research Society, together with international partner institutes, has presented new population figures for gorilla populations in Central and East Africa. According to these, the stocks of mountain gorillas have recovered noticeably in recent years. The Senckenberg Society is one of the world's leading institutions in biodiversity research and coordinates several long-term monitoring programs for African great apes.
