SV Ried wins 1:0 against GAK through Sissoko penalty

From the start, both teams played a cautious, wait-and-see game. The Graz visitors set up defensively solidly and tried to keep the spaces in their own half tight. Maderner and Gragger were brought into the game early as he planned the previously made substitutions for Anderson and Hofleitner. Mandey was also brought on in the closing stages for Michorl. With Grosse, another player also entered the field, who was to play the closing minutes in place of Lichtenberger.

Despite the offensive changes and the now more urgent attacking attempts, the Graz side were no longer able to seriously trouble the Ried defense. SV Ried defended the narrow lead over the remaining minutes with skill and organization. In the end, there was a 1:0 home victory that gave Ried fans reason to celebrate.
