A three-year-old boy slipped away from his mother unnoticed at an outdoor pool in Feldkirch, Vorarlberg, and had to be resuscitated after a swimming accident.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of 11 August at around 4:30 p.m. According to police information, the mother was in the area of the children's pool while the child slipped away unnoticed. How the accident happened is the subject of the ongoing investigation.

After the child was discovered in the water, swimmers pulled the three-year-old from the pool and began resuscitation measures. According to the available information, first aid was provided by swimmers present as well as staff of the Abhilfestelle. The boy was resuscitated on site.

Following emergency medical care, the toddler was taken to the Landeskrankenhaus Feldkirch (LKH). No further details about the child's state of health were initially known. The authorities confirmed the incident but did not release any further details about his condition at the current time.
