A ten-year-old boy drove a car through the Ludwigsburg-Eglosheim district on Wednesday night, damaging two parked cars, and was only stopped by the intervention of a police patrol.

Around 11:45 PM, police were initially called to the Ludwigsburg district of Eglosheim due to a suspected hit-and-run accident. Shortly thereafter, other road users reported that a child was apparently driving a car through the neighborhood. Patrol officers were then able to locate the underage driver, as the police reported.

According to initial findings, the boy damaged two parked vehicles when leaving a parking lot. Investigators estimate the total damage at around 9,000 Euros. The ten-year-old then continued his drive through Eglosheim, it was stated.
