The Medical University of Graz, TU Graz, and the University of Graz on Wednesday founded the joint transfer center "iHub Graz" in Graz, which is intended to connect academic spin-offs in their growth phase with international venture capital providers.

Three Unis, One Transfer Center

The three universities each hold one third of the new transfer company. The goal is to simultaneously support around ten spin-offs in the iHub and connect them with venture capitalists within twelve to 18 months. To this end, the three partner institutions are providing around six million euros over the coming seven years. The money comes from funding and partner sources organized by the transfer company, as the rectors explained at a press conference in Graz.
