A swift agreement on the climate law is not in sight: the responsible minister, Norbert Totschnig, conceded on Tuesday in Vienna that there is still a need for negotiation, confirming the differences that have emerged so far between the coalition partners.
A swift agreement on the climate law is not in sight: the responsible minister, Norbert Totschnig, conceded on Tuesday in Vienna that there is still a need for negotiation, confirming the differences that have emerged so far between the coalition partners.
At a press event in Vienna, Totschnig expressed surprise at the pace of the negotiations. „Ich dachte, es gibt eine raschere Umsetzung, aber die Positionen liegen doch weiter auseinander,“ the responsible minister said today in Vienna. With this assessment, he made clear that the talks have stalled.
