On the 56th day of the criminal trial against the Hamburg entrepreneur Christina Block at the Hamburg Regional Court, a 68-year-old Israeli witness reconstructed the alleged kidnapping of her two youngest children from Denmark and expressed his sympathy.
The witness, who according to information from the proceedings is the alleged head of the Israeli security firm deployed, told the court that the children had cried during the retrieval operation. "Die Kinder haben geweint, sie waren geschockt und sehr unglücklich," he described the evening on New Year's Eve 2023/24. He had instructed his team in advance to "jegliche Gewalt zu minimieren" and to carry out the operation as gently as possible.
When asked by the co-plaintiff side whether the men had carried weapons, the witness answered briefly: "Niemals." Asked about his personal feelings, he said: "Es tat mir sehr leid für sie." The 68-year-old had come to Germany with safe conduct in order to testify in the proceedings and is considered a key figure in the trial.
