In the criminal trial concerning the Christmas market attack in Magdeburg on 20 December 2024, the Senior Public Prosecutor's Office called on the 37th day of hearings for life imprisonment, the finding of particularly severe guilt, and preventive detention against the defendant.

Prosecution's Demand

On Monday, the Senior Public Prosecutor's Office requested the maximum penalty for the killer driver. In addition to life imprisonment, it also demanded the finding of particularly severe guilt and the ordering of preventive detention, according to sources from the courtroom.
