Ken Paxton, the Texas Attorney General endorsed by former President Donald Trump, defeated incumbent Senator John Cornyn in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate on Tuesday.
The primary, which shattered spending records with over 120 million dollars poured mostly into television advertising, saw Paxton capture roughly two-thirds of the Republican vote, according to early tallies. Trump endorsed Paxton at the last moment before the runoff, calling him a 'real MAGA warrior who has ALWAYS delivered for Texas.'
