US President Donald Trump has expressed surprise at the steep ticket prices for the USA's opening World Cup match against Paraguay on June 12 in Los Angeles, with seats ranging from $1,120 to $2,735.

FIFA Defends Market-Based Pricing

FIFA President Gianni Infantino defended the ticket pricing policy as market-driven, noting that tickets often resell for more than double their original price on secondary markets. "Should someone actually purchase a ticket for the final for two million dollars, I will personally deliver them a hot dog and a cola to ensure they have a truly great experience," Infantino joked in German: *"Sollte tatsächlich jemand ein Ticket für das Finale für zwei Millionen Dollar erwerben, werde ich ihm persönlich einen Hotdog und eine Cola vorbeibringen, um sicherzustellen, dass er ein wirklich großartiges Erlebnis hat."*
