Taiwanese contract chipmaker TSMC increased its revenue in the second quarter of 2026 by 36 percent year-on-year to approximately NT$1.27 trillion (around €34.64 billion), driven by sustained demand for AI chips.
As the Taiwanese company announced on Monday, revenue from April to June climbed 36 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching NT$1.27 trillion (around €34.64 billion). With this, the company – whose customers include iPhone manufacturer Apple as well as chip designer Nvidia – slightly exceeded analyst expectations. Analysts surveyed by LSEG had on average expected NT$1.264 trillion.
The world's largest Taiwanese contract chipmaker, TSMC, significantly boosted its revenue in the past second quarter thanks to the ongoing boom in artificial intelligence (AI). The chip giant is regarded as an important barometer for the global expansion of AI infrastructure. The company manufactures the bulk of the world's most advanced semiconductors for data centers and smartphones.
