The Upper Austrian Philipp Steinmayr and the Romanian Adrian Rus were killed in racing accidents on Saturday at the Alpe-Adria Motorcycle Championship in the Czech city of Brno, as FIM Europe confirmed in the night to Sunday.

A tragic accident has cast a shadow over the Alpe-Adria Motorcycle Championship in the Czech city of Brno. As FIM Europe, the European umbrella organization for motorcycle sport, announced in the night to Sunday, two riders lost their lives in racing accidents at the Automotodrom Brno on Saturday. The victims are 32-year-old Philipp Steinmayr from Upper Austria and 43-year-old Romanian Adrian Rus.
