Ukraine struck an oil terminal and an oil depot near the eastern Crimean city of Kerch on the annexed Crimean peninsula, according to the Ukrainian online portal Ukrainska Pravda, while Russia's Defence Ministry reported intercepting 143 Ukrainian drones without detailing the consequences.
The Russian Defence Ministry said its air-defence units had shot down 143 Ukrainian drones during the overnight period, without providing information on damage on the ground. The figure, reported by Russian authorities, was the centrepiece of Moscow's public account of the strikes and made no reference to hits on energy infrastructure.
According to the Ukrainian online portal Ukrainska Pravda, however, the drone barrage also hit an oil terminal and an oil depot near Kerch, a port city of about 150,000 people on the eastern tip of the Crimean peninsula overlooking the Kerch Strait. The portal is a well-known Ukrainian news outlet that has frequently reported on strikes against Russian and Russian-controlled targets since the start of the full-scale invasion.
