Mark Eisenmann expressed cautious optimism for Saturday. "Saturday could be a touch friendlier," he said. At the same time, he pointed to the significant temperature difference compared to previous weeks. "It's considerably cooler than we've become accustomed to," Eisenmann explained, referring to the recent high-summer temperatures.

Sunday: Division between north and south

On Sunday, Hesse will be divided into two weather zones according to the forecast: while the north will remain mostly overcast with possible isolated showers, the south will be friendlier with sunny spells and mostly dry conditions. Maximum temperatures will be between 17 and 23 degrees.

At the beginning of the new week, summery weather will temporarily return. For Monday, meteorologists expect friendly, summery weather with slightly higher temperatures. However, clouds will move in from the west during the day, with isolated showers or thunderstorms possible.

Daytime high temperatures are estimated to be between 17 and 22 degrees. Eisenmann summarized the outlook for the coming week: "We expect summery weather day by day with slightly higher temperatures."

Overall, the trend in Hesse points to a typically unsettled early summer: no continuous heatwave, but also no persistent bad weather. Those planning excursions should particularly keep an eye on Sunday, as the weekend can vary greatly by region.

The DWD also pointed out that the uncertainty of the forecast for Sunday and Tuesday is comparatively high, as only a few source data points were included in the calculation. Reliable fine-tuning will therefore only be possible in the coming days.
