The US armed forces struck targets in Iran for the fourth time in a row overnight into Wednesday (local time) and reimposed the naval blockade against Iranian ports on Tuesday evening at 9:00 p.m. CEST.

The new wave of strikes began on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. US Eastern Time (9:00 p.m. CEST), as the responsible regional command Centcom announced via the online service X. About an hour after this announcement, the naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz was resumed, the report continued.
On previous nights, the US armed forces had already struck targets in Iran, including defense systems, missile and drone positions, as well as maritime capabilities. The responsible regional command justified the attacks — as it had most recently — with the aim of preventing Iran from carrying out repeated attacks on merchant ships in the Strait of Hormuz and thus also on civilians.
