The USA and Iran reported new mutual attacks in the strategically important Gulf region on Saturday, with the Iranian Ministry of Health counting 38 dead and over 400 injured since June 22.
In the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman, the situation between the USA and Iran continues to escalate. According to the US military command responsible for the region, the attacks were recorded at 3:00 PM US Eastern Time (9:00 PM CEST), as the command shared on the platform X. A renewed US attack followed at 10:30 PM local time with the stated goal of weakening Iran's military infrastructure.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guards stated on Saturday morning that they had stopped four ships in the strait with a "combined missile and drone operation." Additionally, two oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz reportedly struck mines and "exploded" – though the US Army denied this. It was also claimed that two oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz struck mines and "exploded."

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghai then wrote on the platform X that the Iranian people are now even more determined to make their enemies "bitterly regret the criminal aggression." The choice of words makes clear how much the rhetoric from both sides has sharpened in recent days.
