Darja Varfolomeev won the European all-around gold medal in rhythmic gymnastics on Saturday in Varna, Bulgaria, adding another major title to her collection.
A Tight Duel Decided by Clubs
The 19-year-old Olympic all-around champion from Schmiden, who competes for TSV Schmiden and the Deutscher Turner-Bund (DTB), delivered a total score of 120.150 points across the four apparatuses – hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon.
Bulgarian Stiliana Nikolowa took silver with 118.750 points, 1.4 points behind the winner, while Ukraine's Taisiia Onofriichuk secured bronze with 117.150 points.
The decisive moment came during the final rotation with the clubs, where Varfolomeev posted the highest score of the day at 31.000 points, sealing the victory.
