Passenger Development in the First Half of the Year
The Flughafen Wien Group, which includes Vienna Airport as well as Malta Airport and Kosice Airport, increased passenger volume in June 2026 by 0.2 percent to 4,039,311 passengers. The airport thus continued its moderate growth course, even though the increase was modest compared to earlier reporting periods.
In the period from January to June, the number of guests in the group rose by 1.9 percent to 19,975,392 people. The group is thus above the previous year's level in the current year, supported primarily by the Vienna location.
There was a significant increase in cargo volume in June: the year-on-year increase amounted to 5.0 percent, reaching 27,058 tonnes. Cargo thus developed noticeably more dynamically than the passenger business.
Cargo Grows Faster Than Passengers
The group had already increased revenue in the first quarter of 2026. As the company announced, "revenue climbed by 6.1 percent to EUR 239.6 million." The net result for the full year remains unchanged at EUR 210 million, according to the group. "For the full year, the company continues to expect a net result of EUR 210 million," it said.
