The Verein für Konsumenteninformation (VKI), together with students from the University of Applied Sciences Tulln, examined 30 caffeine-containing cosmetic products and identified problematic substances in more than half of them.
In a press release published on Wednesday, the VKI warned of dubious advertising claims regarding coffee cosmetics. According to the findings, 18 of the 30 caffeine-containing cosmetic products tested contain substances that are problematic in terms of environmental compatibility.
