Der oberösterreichische Diskuswerfer Lukas Weißhaidinger hat am Mittwochabend im Alexander Stadium in Birmingham die Leichtathletik-Europameisterschaft auf dem zehnten Platz abgeschlossen.
The Upper Austrian discus thrower Lukas Weißhaidinger completed the European Athletics Championships in tenth place on Wednesday evening at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. In temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius and high humidity, he reached 62.32 meters in the final and fell well short of his season's best.
The title went to Slovenia's Kristjan Ceh, who won his first outdoor European Championship title with 67.93 meters. Second place went to Lithuania's Mykolas Alekna, who was narrowly beaten with 67.68 meters. Sweden's Daniel Stahl and Germany's Henrik Janssen followed in the next places.
