North Berwick, 10 July 2026
Bernd Wiesberger from Burgenland finished the first round of the Scottish Open in North Berwick with 65 strokes at five under par, placing him in the leading quintet, while his compatriot Sepp Straka made a more modest start to the DP World Tour's premier event, which is open to PGA players, with a 70.
The eagerly awaited opening match of the DP World Tour event on the links course in North Berwick marked the start of the dress rehearsal for the upcoming British Open. Wiesberger evidently made better use of the conditions early on Thursday morning than the majority of his rivals, joining a group of five players at the top with his round of 65.
