Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called on the United States to deliver at least five percent of its Patriot missiles to Ukraine, as Russia has recently significantly intensified its attacks on the capital, Kyiv.
Zelenskyy addressed the demand directly to Washington, stating that a delivery of ten percent of US Patriot air defense missile stocks would suffice to counter the threat posed by Russian missiles. "If they sell us ten percent, we will destroy all of Russia's ballistic missiles." Zelenskyy justified the move with a marked increase in Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities, including heavy missile salvoes on the capital Kyiv, which recently occurred at least once a week.
