The head of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, has called on the US government for less strict rules for artificial intelligence, pointing to lighter requirements for Chinese developers.

Mark Zuckerberg has turned to the US government and clearly demanded looser rules for the development of artificial intelligence. According to his account, the current framework is hampering American industry in its competition with China, several US media outlets report in unison.

Zuckerberg specifically referred to requirements for training data. "Entwickler aus der Volksrepublik müssten im Vergleich weniger Auflagen in Bezug auf die Daten, die für das Training einer KI genutzt werden, erfüllen", he said. His argument amounts to the Chinese AI sector operating under less strict data protection and transparency requirements than US developers.
