Supporters argue the project addresses long-standing safety and accessibility gaps. Judith Stofer (AL) believes the bike path will attract athletic commuters: *"Ich bin überzeugt, dass einige sportliche Velofahrerinnen künftig das Velo nutzen, um nach Zürich zu gelangen."* Government Councilor Neukom emphasized the efficiency of bundling multiple upgrades: *"Es ist wichtig, all diese Anliegen zu bündeln."*

Critics, however, remain unconvinced. Simon Vlk noted the bike path’s safety shortcomings, while others questioned the prioritization of low-traffic infrastructure. Despite the debate, the council approved the credit, citing legal requirements for disability access at all Swiss bus stops.
