A 25-year-old man was sentenced to four years in prison by the Vienna Regional Court for stabbing a 30-year-old with a screwdriver at a gas station in Vienna-Penzing in October 2025.
Sequence of Events and Verdict
The incident occurred in the early hours of October 25, 2025, around 2:46 a.m. at a gas station in Vienna-Penzing. Both men happened to be there to buy alcohol. According to surveillance footage shown in court, the situation escalated when the 30-year-old bumped into the 25-year-old while paying.
In response, the 25-year-old attacked the other man with a screwdriver, stabbing him twice in the back and once in the face. The court sentenced him to four years in prison for attempted intentional grievous bodily harm. Additionally, the perpetrator must pay the victim €4,000 in compensation. The verdict is not yet final.
