A 44-year-old man is in pre-trial detention in Tyrol on suspicion of having repeatedly incapacitated his partner with drugs and raped her in that state; the Innsbruck public prosecutor's office is also examining possible further victims.
As the spokesperson for the Innsbruck public prosecutor's office, Joachim Wüstner, confirmed to ORF, there is an urgent suspicion against the accused of having "einer nahestehenden Person wiederholt betäubende Substanzen verabreicht, in diesem Zustand diese Person vergewaltigt zu haben". The charge is based, according to the investigators, on previous inquiries that led to the arrest and the request for pre-trial detention.
The Ö1-Journal reported on Saturday, citing investigative circles, that the suspicion is directed against a 44-year-old who is said to have drugged and sexually abused his partner and possibly also a former partner. As the public prosecutor's office announced, this possible additional victim is also being included in the ongoing investigation.
