Spanish MotoGP rider Pedro Acosta is moving from KTM to Ducati after the current season and has signed a contract there for 2027 and 2028.
Acosta, who finished fourth in the MotoGP World Championship last season and was named Rookie of the Year in 2024, now faces the next step in his career. Acosta is still waiting for his first MotoGP victory. „Auf einen MotoGP-Sieg wartet Acosta noch." In the current season, Acosta sits sixth in the overall standings with 13 podium finishes, 48 points behind leader Marco Bezzecchi.
Acosta had achieved his breakthrough in road racing within three years: he made his World Championship debut in 2020, then secured both the Moto3 and Moto2 world championships. The move to Ducati is seen as a logical consequence of this steep upward trajectory.
