In Yemen, an airstrike struck the airport in the capital, Sanaa. According to the Houthi-affiliated broadcaster al-Masirah, Saudi Arabia attacked the runway, as reported by Reuters and others. The Iran-backed Houthi militia controls large areas in the north, including the capital, Sanaa. Riyadh did not initially comment.

Shortly afterward, the Yemeni Defense Ministry claimed responsibility for the attacks.
