After the final whistle, the players on the pitch celebrated not only the sporting success but also sent a political message: Several players held up a white banner reading "Las Malvinas Son Argentinas" toward the cameras. According to reports, among those carrying the banner were goalscorer Lisandro Martínez, defender Cristian Romero, and midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.
