A 16-year-old defendant had to answer before the Linz Regional Court for a knife attack on a 15-year-old in Leonding on a charge of attempted murder and essentially admitted to involvement in the crime.

The trial at the Linz Regional Court deals with a consequential altercation in which a 15-year-old is said to have been seriously injured by a stab wound to the chest area. The prosecution accuses the 16-year-old defendant of having attacked the teenager with a knife and thereby attempting to kill him. According to court observers, the defendant stated in his plea that he did not essentially dispute his involvement in the act, but rejected the classification as attempted murder.
